The Malayalam Calendar (Kollavarsham) is a solar calendar. Unlike the Gregorian calendar which is purely based on the sun's position relative to Earth's orbit, the Kerala system accounts for the sun's transit (Sankranthi) into specific zodiac signs (Rashi).

The year 2025 marks the end of Kollavarsham 1200 and the beginning of 1201 (in Chingam/August). This tool seamlessly handles the transition to 2026 (Kollavarsham 1202) allowing you to plan weddings and events years in advance.
